Summary of This Role
Maintains interface delivery solutions and supports corporate enterprise file transfer standards and objectives for incoming and outgoing transmissions. Creates and delivers appropriate interface transmission matrix documentation, reports operational discrepancies, and performs fully tested interface connectivity processes from business requirements. Serves as technical advisor for file transfer methodologies, transmission automation, and performance monitoring, involving mainframe and distributive systems and interdependent peripheral components.
What Part Will You Play?
Assists more experienced Interface Analysts with connectivity projects by gathering data parameters, formalizing business requirements, and testing newly established transmission connections. Participates in the collaboration with Network Services, Information Security, Configuration Management and Conversion/Implementation teams both internal and external to the organization to ensure data transmissions meet the identified business requirements as necessary. Assists more experienced Interface Analysts with the creation of project documentation and status reports. Participates in the hand-off of completed connectivity projects to the Operations Support Team. May assist more experienced Interface Delivery Analysts with issue resolution.

Skills / Knowledge - Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Job Complexity - Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Supervision - Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Technical - Knowledge and experience with operating systems such as: OS/390, Windows, UNIX, etc. Technical - Knowledge of job control processing languages such as: UNIX Shell Scripting, Perl, and JCL, etc. Security network protocols and tools such as: SSL, SSH2, digital certificate, ACF2, and RACF, etc. Technical - Knowledge of the applicable mainframe (i.e. JES, MVS, Connect: Direct/NDM, TSO, CA7, MQ, etc.) and distributed protocols (i.e. Connect: Direct/NDM, Secure Plus, FTP, SFTP, Sterling Integrator/Gentran Integration Suite, etc.) data management tools such as: file-aid, IMS, dB2, extract, flat files, etc.
