Job Requirements and Skills:

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager responsible for overseeing the end-to-end purchasing process across a diverse range of materials, including steel, brass, iron, leather and wood. This role demands a strategic and skilled negotiator who can build and maintain robust supplier relationships while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

  • Deep knowledge of materials like brass, steel, wood, leather and other high-quality raw materials.
  • Experience in purchasing small batch - Development, value added/ customised purchase.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with vendor management processes, quality control, and supply chain logistics.
  • Collaboration and coordination with various teams.
  • Willingness to travel as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with design and engineering personnel to understand product design specifications.
  • Translating design specifications into actionable procurement requirements.
  • Evaluating vendors based on their expertise in materials and job works.
  • Establishing relationships with qualified vendors for essential production processes.
  • Tap into industry associations or trade fairs for leads on reputed vendors.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive vendor list and updating as and when needed.
  • Developing a structured Bill of Materials (BOM), detailing all components and subassemblies.
  • Participating in vendor audits and managing quality control for procured materials.
  • Overseeing daily store operations and inventory management.
  • Streamlining procurement processes and analyzing FMS to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A graduate degree (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing industries such as furniture, automobile (textile experience not considered).
Career Progression:
