About the Role – System Administrator:
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role encompasses system optimization, asset management, data protection, and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will ensure that the organization’s IT infrastructure operates seamlessly while proactively enhancing policies, introducing new technologies, and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive SOPs for all IT functions, ensuring consistent and efficient management of IT operations.
Server and Cloud Management:
• Oversee the administration of physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Manage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), including deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-based services.
Data Protection and Backup Management:
• Design and implement robust data protection strategies, ensuring regular backups and disaster recovery protocols are in place for all critical systems and data.
• Proactively monitor for potential data breaches or vulnerabilities, applying corrective measures promptly.
Cybersecurity and Risk Mitigation:
• Lead initiatives to safeguard against security breaches, phishing attacks, and other cyber threats.
• Regularly update firewalls, antivirus software, and other security measures to stay ahead of evolving threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and employee training on cybersecurity best practices.
Asset Management:
• Oversee the lifecycle management of all IT assets, including laptops, desktops, servers, and other hardware.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure proper maintenance, software updates, and compliance with IT policies.
Incident and Issue Management:
• Manage and resolve high-priority technical issues, minimizing system downtime and user impact.
• Serve as the escalation point for all major incidents, coordinating between internal teams and vendors to ensure resolution.
Vendor and SLA Management:
• Maintain productive relationships with IT service providers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of services and adherence to SLAs.
• Negotiate and manage contracts for hardware, software, and services.
IT Policy and Compliance:
• Continuously update and enforce IT policies to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that all systems comply with data protection laws and internal security guidelines.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on the latest IT trends, tools, and technologies.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies or tools that enhance efficiency, security, and productivity across the organization.
• Develop and implement strategies for IT infrastructure improvements to align with organizational goals.
Training and Development:
• Conduct training sessions for employees on IT systems, security policies, and tools.
• Mentor and develop the internal IT team to ensure consistent upskilling and readiness for emerging challenges.
Technical Expertise:
Microsoft Office 365 Administration:
• Manage the global administration portal, including user accounts, licenses, and security settings.
• Oversee Microsoft Teams, including channel management, permissions, and integration with other Office 365 services.
• Administer shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and access management to ensure efficient communication workflows.
Network Management:
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize connectivity and security.
Security and Compliance:
• Implement and manage security protocols to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and assessments.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, MCSE, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Professional Experience:
• 5-7 years of experience in IT system management, with a proven ability to handle complex infrastructure and ensure operational excellence.
Technical Proficiency:
• Expertise in managing Microsoft Office 365, including global administration, Teams, and shared mailboxes.
• Strong knowledge of physical and virtual server management, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and IT asset management.
• Hands-on experience with network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Problem-Solving Skills:
• Proactive in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Strong analytical skills to address challenges effectively and prevent recurring problems.
Communication and Leadership:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Compensation:
₹18 lakhs per annum (₹15 lakhs fixed pay + ₹3 lakhs bonus at the end of 12 months)
Eligibility to performance bonuses after a year in the job over and above your CTC
