Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable

Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in driving efficiency in finance operations and be able to thrive in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Operations: Manage and oversee accounting operations, specifically focusing on Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset Register (FAR).
  • Invoice Management: Ensure accurate accounting of invoices and maintain trackers for payments.
  • KPIs and SLAs: Monitor and establish KPIs and SLAs for the Accounts Payable and Vendor Onboarding processes.
  • P2P Process: Oversee the P2P process and ensure smooth vendor reconciliations.
  • Reporting: Coordinate the preparation and reporting of the Purchase Register, Accounts Payable reports, and Vendor Reconciliation.
  • Payable Reconciliations: Take ownership of Payable Reconciliations and maintain strong controls.
  • Invoice Accounting: Run the invoice accounting process efficiently, ensuring all invoices are processed and accounted for in a timely manner.
  • Closing Processes: Provide support during the month-end and year-end closing processes as they relate to Accounts Payable.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in Finance Operations, specifically in Accounts Payable.
  • Degree: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and expense recognition processes.
  • Excel Skills: Strong experience with Excel and advanced Excel skills for data tracking and reporting.
  • General Ledger Functions: Experience in managing general ledger functions and participating in the month-end/year-end close process.
