Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain MongoDB databases according to best practices.

- Perform performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient database operations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to maintain system uptime and data integrity.

- Implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity.

- Manage MongoDB sharding and replication for scalability and high availability.

- Enforce strict database security measures to protect sensitive data.

- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., shell scripting, Python).

- Monitor database performance and capacity to identify and address potential issues proactively.

- Collaborate with development teams to understand data needs and optimize database queries.

- Document database schema, configuration, and procedures for future reference.

Technical Skills :

- Proven experience in MongoDB database administration (3+ years).

- Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, including storage engines, indexing strategies, and query optimization.

- Experience with performance tuning techniques (e.g., explain plans, indexes, caching).

- Proficiency in MongoDB backup and recovery solutions (e.g., mongodump, mongorestore).

- Experience with MongoDB sharding and replication configurations.

- Solid understanding of database security principles (e.g., user authentication, access control, encryption).

- Experience in scripting languages like shell scripting or Python for automating database tasks.

- Familiarity with SQL and other database technologies (a plus).
