About the Role:We are seeking a highly organized and structured Senior Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in managing software development projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong focus on tracking project costs, resource utilization, and overall project status. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining Gantt charts, effectively communicating change requests, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:1. Project Planning and TrackingLead the planning and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Maintain detailed Gantt charts to visualize project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.

2. Cost ManagementTrack project costs meticulously, ensuring alignment with budgets and identifying any variances.Implement cost control measures to optimize resource allocation and project profitability.

3. Resource Planning and UtilizationOversee resource planning to ensure optimal utilization of team members across projects.Monitor and analyze resource allocation, making adjustments as necessary to meet project demands.

4. Change Request ManagementIdentify and communicate change requests and bugs, explaining their impact on project timelines and deliverables.Convince clients of revised estimations and replanned dates, ensuring clarity and alignment on expectations.

5. Issue Documentation and TriageDocument issues and suggestions raised in chats, emails, phone calls, meetings, or via support tickets.Triage these into an escalation matrix, identifying incidents versus suggestions for efficient management.

6. Root Cause Analysis and Incident ManagementEnforce root cause analysis for each production bug or incident, ensuring permanent fixes are implemented.Track issues until closure, maintaining communication with relevant stakeholders throughout the process.

7. Continuous ImprovementAsk the right questions to developers to understand how to prevent issues from recurring.Collaborate with the team to strengthen JUnit tests and other test cases to ensure that bugs do not slip through future releases.

8. Requirements Gathering and Project DemosParticipate in requirements gathering sessions and project demos to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.Verify that the junior Business Analyst captures all requirements accurately into user stories.

9. Team Leadership and CoordinationSupervise one junior Project Manager, guiding them in the creation of reports and ensuring that the tech team of 50 developers and QA personnel submits timesheets and updates task statuses properly in Asana.Generate and update project status reports and project cost reports, ensuring that all information is accurate and timely.

10. Release Coordination and Go-Live PlanningWork closely with the development team during releases, implementing structured go-live plans.Communicate with stakeholders on every step of the go-live process, ensuring transparency and alignment.

11. Client Communication and AvailabilityBe available at least twice a week for project status calls post 7 PM IST during early US hours to discuss with clients.Be accessible for escalations and change requirement discussions, ensuring flexibility and responsibility in communication with clients.

Qualifications:10+ years of project management experience in a software development or tech environment.Proven ability to track project costs, resource utilization, and project status effectively.Expertise in maintaining Gantt charts and other project tracking tools.Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on detail and structure.Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:Willing to work from the office all 5 days a week.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and advanced project management practices.
