Founding Engineer

Company Description Every day, millions of people buy products based on online reviews, but most of them are fake, paid, or irrelevant. The only reviews people actually trust are from their friends. Yet those reviews remain buried in chats and are never discoverable. Rivyoo is fixing that. We’re building a social trust layer for product & service discovery : A platform where users can instantly see what their friends think about the products they want to buy across categories like beauty, gadgets, restaurants, fitness supplements, and more. A new format for asking, giving, and consuming reviews that feels effortless, authentic, and fun. This is a mass-market India-first product with potential to scale globally if we crack trust + social + discovery. We’re now looking for a Founding Engineer to join the core team and build this from 0→1. Why This Role is Special You’ll write the first lines of production code for a product aimed at millions. You won’t be “employee #12” or “SDE-2 in a large team.” You will be a co-creator , designing key technical decisions alongside the founder. Your work will directly shape the company’s MVP → early traction → fundraising → scale trajectory . You will receive meaningful equity that grows as the product grows. If you’ve ever thought “I can build a big company if given the chance,” this is literally that chance. What We’re Looking For Someone who: Loves building and shipping fast, loves ownership, and loves figuring things out. Is excited about creating consumer products that millions will use daily. Can define architecture, set up infra, build features end-to-end. Can think product-first, not just code-first. Wants to grow into a CTO-level role over time. Your Responsibilities You will: Lead the build of Rivyoo’s MVP from scratch (Web + Mobile-web). Set up the entire tech stack — frontend, backend, database, integrations. Work on systems involving: Authentication (Google/Meta/LinkedIn) Social network graph Real-time review flows Personalisation/recommendation logic Affiliate integrations Cross platform share flows(Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook etc) Build scalable architecture that can support millions of users. Hire and mentor early engineering team members as we grow. Work directly with the founder on product, design, experimentation, and iterations.
