Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced District Manager to take charge of our Maintenance Department and oversee the maintenance operations across a district of properties. This leadership role demands an individual with strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of property maintenance, and the ability to manage a diverse team. As a District Manager, you will ensure that maintenance activities are carried out effectively, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while delivering exceptional service to both tenants and property owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance operations for a large portfolio of residential properties across the district.
  • Supervise and support a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the long-term upkeep of properties, while managing emergency repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with property managers, tenants, and contractors to deliver timely and cost-effective maintenance solutions.
  • Ensure all operations comply with industry safety regulations and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and external service providers.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to senior management, ensuring continual improvements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to ensure high-quality work and personal growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in property management, facilities maintenance, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on leadership.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes, property management software, and industry safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications or training in property maintenance (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
