Who We’re Looking for:
Therabody is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team reporting directly to the Senior Director of Software Engineering. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support our high-quality applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, and ensure top performance, quality, and availability of our systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevOps practices, a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and be a strong mentor and lead for a team of engineers. This position is based in our Flatworld Bangalore office.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide technical leadership and lead high performing teams within your organization, including mentoring junior team members and providing technical support for engineers on the team.
Commit to the full lifecycle of infrastructure development, from conception and design, through deployment.
Ensure the performance, quality and availability of all applications and systems.
Architect maintainable, performant infrastructure code with effective documentation that can be leveraged by other developers.
Integrate systems with back-end services, handling complex technical issues related to infrastructure development, and identify and adopt best practices for DevOps.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to deliver the next generation of infrastructure features for Therabody customers.
Exhibit good understanding of cloud provider design principles and interface guidelines.
Manage infrastructure protocols, communication interfaces and upgrades to enable seamless interaction between development environments and production.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience of managing or tech-leading an engineering team.
Considerable experience in DevOps practices and proficiency in cloud infrastructure.
9+ years of experience generating commercial quality infrastructure solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools – please provide links to published work.
Demonstrated experience in dealing with infrastructure management and complex interactions with cloud services through technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
Proficient with back-end technologies such as Terraform, Terragrunt, GraphQL, Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and others as needed.
Experience with the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines.
Expert understanding of tools such as Git for version control, and familiarity with continuous integration.
Experience with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
Experience with Contentful and Iterable integration is a plus.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI and GitHub Actions is a plus.
You’re passionate about infrastructure and system development: deep knowledge of infrastructure architecture and performance, with prior experience building and maintaining robust, scalable systems.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
