Job Title: Lead Automation Test EngineerLocation: BangaloreExperience: 7–10 yearsReports To: Engineering ManagerRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks for API and UI testing across cloud and AI-driven platforms. The ideal candidate has deep technical experience in Python-based automation, CI/CD integration, and cross-functional collaboration in Agile environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAutomation Framework Design & Maintenance: Develop and enhance scalable, modular test automation frameworks using Python, Selenium Web Driver, Pytest, and Allure Reports for UI and API testing.End-to-End Quality Ownership: Drive Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and UAT testing cycles for complex systems ensuring product quality and stability before release.API & Integration Testing: Leverage Postman, Swagger, JMeter, and Python libraries for functional, performance, and integration testing of REST APIs.Continuous Integration & Deployment: Integrate automation suites with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless automated builds, reports, and test execution.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and Dev Ops to define test strategies, prioritize issues, and ensure test coverage across releases.Agile QA Leadership: Participate in Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Daily Standups, contributing to QA best practices and continuous improvement.Cloud & AI Testing Exposure: Validate data-driven and ML-based systems across Azure / AWS / GCP, including AI-powered application workflows.Required Skills & Experience7–10 years of experience in Automation & Manual Testing, preferably in Saa S, AI, or Cloud environments.Strong hands-on experience in Python, Selenium Web Driver, Pytest, Jenkins, Postman, and JMeter.Experience building and maintaining end-to-end test automation frameworks from scratch.Sound understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile / Scrum methodologies.Familiarity with My SQL / Mongo DB databases and Git Hub / Git Lab source control.Exposure to performance testing, security validation, and cross-browser/device compatibility.Excellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.Proven ability to work independently and mentor junior QA members.Preferred QualificationsB. Tech / B. E. in Computer Science, IT, or related field.Experience with AI / ML-based testing, video/audio processing systems, or cloud-native architectures.Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or CI observability tools.ISTQB or equivalent QA certification (a plus).Key AttributesStrong ownership mindset with detail orientation.Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.Passion for automation, innovation, and process improvement.Excellent verbal and written communication.
