Lead- OSP Ops

This role is pivotal in maintaining high-quality fiber telecommunications service and supporting business continuity through expert fiber network operations management.

Would be responsible for
Ensuring the efficient functioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of fiber optic network operations.

Oversee fiber infrastructure operations and maintenance, including fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure network integrity and performance.

Manage fiber logistics, coordinate fiber delivery and deployment, and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners.

Provide technical guidance and expertise to teams on fiber network best practices, maintenance standards, and problem resolution.

Lead fiber break-fix operations, network expansions, and upgrades in both datacenter and field environments.

  • Maintain documentation and detailed logs related to fiber operations, test results, and maintenance activities.
  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong expertise in fiber optic technology including splicing, testing (OTDR, power meter), and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze fiber network performance and conduct root cause analysis for outages or degradation.
  • Proficiency in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including technical teams, management, and external vendors.
  • Good communication skills to mentor, train, and guide field technicians and other personnel.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, fiber logistics, and inventory management.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in fiber operations or related fields is often required.
