Job Description – Data Migration Lead / Manager (Banking Domain) Position: Data Migration Lead / Manager Experience: 8–15 years (Lead/Manager level) Domain: Banking / Financial Services (Core Banking Systems – CBS) Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full-timeRole Overview We are seeking an experiencedData Migration Lead / Managerto drive and manageend-to-end data migration programsfor core banking systems. The candidate will leadlegacy-to-new application migrations, version upgrades, and client-side transition projects , ensuringaccuracy, performance, and regulatory compliancethroughout the migration lifecycle.Key Responsibilities Lead and manageend-to-end data migration projectsforCore Banking Systems(Flexcube, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, T24, OBDX, etc.). Define and executedata migration strategy, roadmap, and methodology(ETL, staging, validation, reconciliation). Leadrequirement analysis, source-to-target mapping, and transformation rulesfor banking data (customers, accounts, loans, GL, transactions, etc.). Managedata profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and quality checksto ensure integrity and accuracy. Collaborate withapplication, database, and infrastructure teamsto design optimal migration solutions. Executemock runs, dress rehearsals, and cut-over planningfor go-live. Managemigration issue tracking, resolution, and reportingwith stakeholders. Ensure compliance withbanking regulations, security standards, and audit requirements . Provideleadership to onsite/offshore migration teams , ensuring timelines and quality deliverables. Work closely withbusiness users and client stakeholdersduring UAT, validation, and reconciliation. Supportpost-migration stabilizationand performance optimization.Required Skills & Experience 8–15 yearsof IT experience, with5+ years in banking data migrationprojects. Proven experience withCBS migration and upgrades– Flexcube, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, T24, OBDX, or similar. Strong understanding ofbanking business processes : deposits, lending, payments, GL, treasury, etc. Hands-on expertise indata migration tools and ETL frameworks(Informatica, DataStage, ODI, Pentaho, custom SQL/PLSQL scripts). Strong skills inOracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2for migration and reconciliation. Experience indata validation, reconciliation frameworks, and audit reporting . Strong knowledge ofcut-over strategy, roll-back planning, and risk management . Exposure tocloud-based banking migrations (Azure, AWS, GCP)is a plus. Excellentstakeholder management, client engagement, and leadership skills .Preferred Qualifications Prioronsite migration project experiencein banks or large financial institutions. Certification inbanking products (Finacle, Flexcube, T24, etc.)is an added advantage. Experience inAgile/DevOps delivery modelsfor migration projects. Experience inperformance tuning and optimizationduring migration cycles.
