Job Title: FPGA Engineer – Image Processing (Avionics)Location:GurgaonExperience Level:5+ yearsEmployment Type:Full-timeDepartment:Hardware / Avionics EngineeringPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilledFPGA Engineerwith a minimum of5 years of experienceinimage processing and embedded hardware development , preferably within theavionics or aerospace industry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for thedesign, development, verification, and optimization of FPGA-based image processing systemsused in advanced airborne vision and sensor platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and verifyFPGA-based architecturesforreal-time image and video processingin avionics applications.DevelopRTL code(VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) for high-speed image pipelines, compression, and filtering algorithms.Integrate FPGA modules withembedded processors (e.g., ARM, MicroBlaze, Nios)and external interfaces such asARINC818, ARINC429, PCIe, HDMI, DVI, LVDS, DDR4/3/2 & Ethernet,USB, SD, eMMC, I3C/I2C, SPI/QSPI etc.Optimize FPGA designs forperformance, area, and powerefficiency under aerospace hardware constraints.Collaborate with system, hardware, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of FPGA solutions into avionics systems.Conductsimulation, synthesis, and timing analysisusing industry-standard tools (Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim, etc.).Participate inDO-254 design assuranceactivities, including documentation, verification traceability, and test case generation.Supporthardware bring-up , debugging, and in-lab testing of FPGA boards and image acquisition systems.Contributes to theevaluation of new FPGA devices, IP cores, and image processing technologies .Required Qualifications:BE/ME in Electronics from a reputed college. Specialization in VLSI and Embedded Design is a plus.3 to 8 years of experience in designing and implementing FPGA based solutions in Xilinx or Altera FPGA, preferably FPGA based product development experience.Must have experience in System Design with Xilinx/Altera FPGA devices with relevant tools.Must have experience in Verilog and/or VHDL coding.Must have experience in synthesis and implementation (floor planning and placement and routing) using FPGA tools.Must have experience in using constraints to achieve timing requirement.Experience in working on high-speed FPGA designs is a major plus.Thorough knowledge of Static Timing Analysis (STA) is an added advantage.Must have experience in building test benches for verification.Must have experience in board level testing and system debugging.Must have knowledge of protocols like USB, Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, SPI, QSPI, UART, JTAG, ARINC818, ARINC429, SD, eMMC, DDR4/3 etcMust have hands on experience with FPGA debugging tools and test measurement instruments such as oscilloscope and Logic Analyzer.Must have strong problem solving and debugging skills.
