Key Responsibilities:- Perform load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and protection coordination studies using standard power system simulation tools.- Conduct Grid Impact and Interconnection Studies for new projects and assess their impact on the existing power network.- Design and evaluate substation layouts (AIS/GIS), single line diagrams, equipment sizing, and protection schemes.- Support concept-to-commissioning activities for large electrical infrastructure and substation projects.- Ensure compliance with national and international grid codes (CEA, IEC, IEEE, etc.).- Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and system study reports for internal and external stakeholders.- Collaborate with transmission/distribution utilities, EPC contractors, and consultants during various project phases.- Evaluate grid integration requirements for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid).- Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and design optimization discussions.Required Skills & Competencies:- Strong understanding of Power System Analysis principles and electrical network modeling.- Experience with tools such as ETAP, PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, or MATLAB Simulink.- Working knowledge of substation design (up to 400kV or higher) and grid connectivity standards.- Ability to interpret protection schemes, relay coordination, and SCADA/automation systems.- Capable of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary, international team. Candidate will be working with US teams and should have exposure dealing with international clients.- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.Qualification & Experience:- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering (M.E./M.Tech preferred).- 6 – 10 years of experience in power systems analysis and substation projects with a leading MNC.- Prior exposure to transmission/distribution utility projects, renewable integration studies, or grid impact assessments preferred.
