Responsibilities: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server and Mongo DB databases. Manage database security, access control, and auditing . Perform database backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high availability setup . Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, queries, and indexing . Implement and maintain replication, clustering, and sharding as needed. Work with developers to optimize queries, stored procedures, and schema designs . Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Power Shell, Bash, or Python). Collaborate with Dev Ops teams for CI/CD integration and cloud database deployments . Provide 24x7 production support for critical database systems on a rotational basis. Maintain documentation for standards, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Requirements: Qualifications Bachelor's degree in C omputer Science, Information Technology, or related field . 1-2 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator (SQL & Mongo DB). Strong knowledge of SQL Server administration (installation, clustering, HA/DR, tuning). Hands-on experience with Mongo DB administration (replica sets, sharding, upgrades, backups). Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries & stored procedures . Understanding of No SQL vs. RDBMS concepts and architectures . Experience with database monitoring tools (SQL Profiler, Mongo DB Atlas, Grafana). Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance best practices . Knowledge of scripting languages for automation Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Mongo DB Atlas). Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and database orchestration . Exposure to Agile/Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of big data ecosystems and integration with analytics tools.
