Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Production Merchandiser with extensive hands-on expertise in women’s western wear to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing production processes, sourcing luxury materials, and working with artisans,

tailors, and master cutters. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of both in-house sample production and outsourced bulk

manufacturing for our high-end fashion brand. Applicants from other industries will not be considered; only those with a fashion industry background and a deep understanding of women’s wear production, especially western wear, should apply.

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Management

- Oversee the entire production process for luxury women’s western wear, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery.

- Manage in-house sampling teams, ensuring accurate translation of design tech packs into physical samples.

- Monitor and manage tailors and master cutters, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to design precision.

2. Outsourcing and Vendor Management

- Collaborate with third-party manufacturers and vendors to scale up bulk production.

- Vet and onboard manufacturers with proven expertise in women’s western wear and handwork detailing.

- Negotiate contracts, production costs, and timelines to maintain brand standards and efficiency.

3. Sampling & Material Sourcing

- Lead the sourcing of luxury fabrics, trims, and materials, ensuring they align with the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards.

- Work closely with the design team to source materials that meet design and production requirements, with special attention to hand-embellished techniques.

- Supervise the in-house sampling process, ensuring every piece reflects design intent and quality.

4. Team & Operations Management

- Manage and guide tailors, artisans, and production teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient processes.

- Work collaboratively with design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure production aligns with seasonal timelines and brand goals.

- Troubleshoot production challenges, offering practical solutions to meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on women’s western wear production.

- Proven expertise in luxury fashion, particularly fabric sourcing, handwork techniques, and embellishments.

- Strong hands-on experience managing tailors, master cutters, and artisans.

- In-depth knowledge of fabrics, trims, and production techniques specific to women’s western wear.

- Ability to read and interpret design tech packs with a critical eye for production feasibility.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Strong network of manufacturers and suppliers in the luxury fashion industry.

- Familiarity with sustainable production practices.

- Experience working with ERP systems or production management software.

- Knowledge of international sourcing and manufacturing processes.
