Human Resources Assistant

Summary:
The HR Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with new employee onboarding, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and processing new hire documentation.
- Maintain employee files and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
- Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Assist with administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including creating and managing training courses, tracking employee progress, and troubleshooting issues.
- Assist with benefits administration, including processing enrollments, answering employee questions, and maintaining benefit records. Assist with the creation and maintenance of training materials and programs.
- Respond to employee inquiries and resolve issues related to HR policies and procedures.
- Update company announcements such as new hires and promotions on company intranet site
- Help plan teambuilding events
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives, as assigned
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with payroll processing, HRIS systems, and LMS administration is a plus.
- Experience with graphic design programs, especially content authoring software like Articulate Storyline, is also a plus.
Requirements
Qualifications: Education: Engineering Degree from an EAC/ABET accredited program. E.I.T. Certification or passed FE exam preferred Experience and Skills: o Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering design and approval processes o Minimum of 2 years’ experience in subsea equipment design o Proficient in SolidWorks and ANSYS modeling software o Proficient with Microsoft Office Systems (Word, Excel, MS Project) Knowledgeable in AutoCAD 2D and Mathcad software Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and organizational skills Good communication & presentation skills, both written and oral Ability to adapt to change, when required due to the rapid response nature of business Work autonomously as well as under direction Handle multiple projects and deadlines with changing priorities
