Good Luck Publishers is one of the leading Publishers in school books today. We publish books both on ICSE, CBSE and State Boards. We cover over 7,000 schools across the country, providing textbooks, digital content and teacher training.

JOB PURPOSE:The Editor will be primarily responsible for the overall publishing plan, delivery of books on time for his/her pub list.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: A Master’s degree in English. At least 2-3 years experience in book publishing or allied fields. Open to travelling for supporting the sales and marketing teams. Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good interpersonal, time and team management skills. Ability to keep to production schedule. Ability to liaise with all departments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To help in the planning and execution of the publishing programme in keeping withthe market trends.

 To maintain cordial and good working relations with various authors, reviewers, in houseteams and freelancers. To drive the commissioning process and liaise with the author(s) and editor(s) inresponse to feedback from reviewers and also in response to studying thecompetition for improving the quality of each manuscript with a distinct competitiveadvantage over other publishers’ booksTo draw up schedules for every manuscript being handled in the list and to work within the stipulated time frames. To coordinate and monitor work of the commissioning and development editorsbased on schedules and budgets in consultation with the Director. To visualize and deliver the final product working closely with the Design,Production and Manufacturing departments. To ensure that the final product is of the highest possible quality within theconstraints of time and budget to achieve maximum sales potential. To supervise quality control at every stage of the Editorial and Production process. To be aware and informed about the latest trends in education and developmentsacross syllabuses as also with the relevant competition by talking to teachers andteacher trainers, attending seminars, conferences, and book fairs. To work with the design team to help them to visualize the book covers. To be responsible for CRC/formatted copies ready for printing of various titles per year. To research market trends, study competition and develop market intelligence toexpand the publishing programme.
