Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Optometrist role located in Chennai. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting vision tests, diagnosing eye conditions, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries. Daily tasks also include educating patients on proper eye care and maintaining detailed patient records. The role involves working closely with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Qualifications

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive vision tests and diagnose eye conditions
  • Experience in prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses
  • Skills in providing pre- and post-operative eye care
  • Excellent patient education and communication skills
  • Proficient in maintaining detailed patient records
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution required
  • Current optometry license in good standing
  • Experience in a clinical setting is a plus
