Role Description

As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s culture, talent acquisition strategy, and employee experience. You will be responsible for implementing HR practices and systems that promote a positive and engaging work environment, support employee development, and ensure the startup’s growth is fueled by strong talent. This is a hands-on, strategic, and operational role that requires flexibility, creativity, and a passion for HR in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, from creating job descriptions to sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract diverse candidates and ensure a smooth and positive hiring experience.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and drive recruitment efforts across multiple departments.

Employee Onboarding & Development:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive onboarding program that introduces new hires to our company culture and values.
  • Create development programs that promote employee growth, career progression, and continuous learning.
  • Manage performance review processes and provide guidance on performance improvement and career development

Culture and Employee Engagement:

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and transparent work culture where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered.
  • Develop initiatives that promote employee engagement, morale, and retention.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees on HR-related matters, ensuring a positive employee experience.

HR Policies & Compliance:

  • Implement and update HR policies, ensuring they comply with legal regulations and align with company values and goals.
  • Monitor and manage HR metrics such as employee turnover, satisfaction, and performance.
  • Stay informed on labor laws, industry best practices, and trends in HR to ensure compliance.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain talent.
  • Evaluate and benchmark compensation packages to ensure fairness and competitiveness within the industry.

HR Administration:

  • Oversee employee records, contracts, and HR databases.
  • Handle HR-related inquiries, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of HR experience, with at least 1-2 years in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of HR best practices, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage employees at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop creative solutions in a fast-growing environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using HR software and tools to streamline processes and track HR metrics.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and rapid change.
  • Cultural Fit: Passionate about building a positive, inclusive, and engaging startup culture.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in building HR infrastructure from scratch.
  • Knowledge of employment laws in (your region/country).
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
