We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. 

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Bank Digital Technology team, you will be responsible for leading successful design, development, writing clean code & quality code review of application components at a project level. You will additionally be responsible for performing software troubleshooting and monitoring functions for low to zero downtime-based applications.

Job responsibilities:   

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.  Good understanding and experience on writing good Java and Javascript  Hands-on experience in architecture and deploying spring boot based micro-services on AWS EKS, ECS and serverless cloud.  Experience in UI/UX development using react based libraries/micro-frontends Development experience of cloud native spring and node based micro-services and deploying them on AWS EKS, ECS, Lambdas serverless.  Good experience with design tools for sequence, process, architecture diagram using tools like excelidraw , lucidchart etc. Experience working in AWS Relational Database services of PostgreSQL and Oracle including good SQL & Hibernate/JPA skills. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Designing & developing micro-front end based micro-services Contribution to open source or private projects in multiple technologies. WS Solution Architect Associate/Professional, CKAD – Certified Kubernetes Application Developer Design Skills: Domain Driven Design, Domain modelling, User Centric Design Domain experience in finance/lending/proptech/ space.
