We are seeking an experiencedIAM - Okta Developerto design, develop, and implement robustIdentity & Access Management (IAM)solutions usingOkta . The ideal candidate will have a strong background inauthentication, authorization, and identity federation , with expertise inOkta customization, integrations, and automation .As anL3+ Okta SME , you will work closely with security, IT, and application teams to enhanceIAM security, governance, and compliancewhile optimizing access management across the enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesOkta Development & IntegrationDesign, develop, and implementOkta IAM solutionsfor user authentication and authorization.Develop and maintaincustom Okta workflows, policies, and rules for SSO, MFA, and adaptive authentication .Integrate Okta withenterprise applications, APIs, and third-party identity providers(OIDC, SAML, OAuth2, SCIM, LDAP).Automateuser provisioning, deprovisioning, and lifecycle managementusing Okta Workflows & SCIM.ImplementSelf-Service Registration (SSR) and Identity Proofingsolutions.Develop and manageOkta custom scripts and hooks (JavaScript, API calls, Okta Hooks, WebAuthn, FIDO2, FastPass, etc.) .IAM Security & GovernanceDefine and enforceIAM security policies, least privilege access, and zero-trust security .ImplementConditional Access, Adaptive MFA, and risk-based authentication .Managerole-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and group-based policies .Ensure compliance withsecurity standards (SOC2, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) .Automation & OptimizationAutomateIAM workflows, identity sync, and user lifecycle processesusing Okta Workflows, APIs, and Terraform.DevelopPowerShell, Python, or JavaScript-based scriptsfor identity automation.OptimizeOkta performance, logging, and monitoring with SIEM tools .Technical Leadership & SupportAct as anL3+ escalation point for IAM/Okta-related issues .Work with IT, security, and application teams to alignIAM strategies with business needs .Conducttechnical workshops, training, and documentationfor IT teams.Required Skills & Qualifications✔️5-10 yearsof hands-on experience inIAM, Identity Federation, and Okta Development .✔️ Strong expertise inOkta Identity Cloud (SSO, MFA, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, API Access Management) .✔️ Experience developingcustom authentication flows, Okta Hooks, and API integrations .✔️ Proficiency inJavaScript, Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languagesfor automation.✔️ Strong understanding ofRBAC, ABAC, JIT Provisioning, and Access Governance .✔️ Hands-on experience withOkta Workflows, Terraform, and CI/CD automationfor IAM.✔️ Experience integratingOkta with enterprise applications (AWS, Azure AD, GCP, SAP, Salesforce, etc.) .✔️ Strong knowledge ofIAM security, compliance, and zero-trust security frameworks .Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)⭐Okta Certified Developer, Okta Certified Consultant, or equivalent IAM certification .⭐ Experience withPrivileged Access Management (PAM) and identity threat detection .⭐ Knowledge ofIAM solutions like Azure AD, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, or SailPoint .⭐ Familiarity withDevSecOps, IAM logging, and SIEM integrations .
