Android Developer

We are seeking an experienced Android engineer to join our team to develop and optimize next-generation live video streaming solutions. This role will focus on delivering low-latency, reliable streaming experiences, and building robust SDK components that facilitate seamless integration with our platform and third-party services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and improve our mobile video player framework and SDK, ensuring efficient, scalable, and high-performance live streaming. Core Requirements Strong programming expertise in Java and Kotlin Experience with Android Jetpack components and modern app architecture Proven experience developing or working with SDKs—building APIs, libraries, or modules that enable live video playback, manifest handling (MPD/M3U8), buffer management, and adaptive bitrate algorithms (ABR) Hands-on experience with ExoPlayer or similar video playback frameworks Familiarity with live stream metrics, QoE monitoring, transcoding workflows, and using analytics platforms like Conviva or Mux Understanding of dynamic manifest generation and real-time stream management Fluency in English and excellent communication skills Nice-to-haves: Previous experience working in a fully remote and collaborative environment Autonomy, analytical thinking, and a passion for scaling real-time streaming technology Why Join Kake?
