Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Head Counselor to lead our admissions counseling team and drive the conversion of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) into confirmed enrollments. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ educational journeys while achieving organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, counseling skills, and a deep understanding of the education sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the admissions counseling team to enhance productivity.
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve the team's counseling and lead conversion skills.
- Establish clear individual and team goals aligned with enrollment targets.
2. Counseling and Conversion
- Personally manage high-priority or complex leads to guide them through the enrollment process.
- Oversee the counseling pipeline, ensuring all Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) are nurtured effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and parents to address their concerns and provide tailored guidance.
3. Process Optimization
- Develop strategies to improve SQL-to-enrollment conversion rates.
- Monitor and analyze the admissions pipeline to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with inside sales and marketing teams to ensure smooth lead handovers and alignment on lead quality.
4. Data-Driven Decision Making
- Track and report performance metrics such as conversion rates, lead statuses, and counseling effectiveness.
- Leverage data insights to refine counseling strategies and enhance outcomes.
5. Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary escalation point for admissions-related concerns.
- Provide regular updates and actionable insights to senior management on admissions progress and challenges.
6. Customer Focus
- Ensure prospective students and their families experience a seamless and supportive admissions process.
- Address concerns empathetically and professionally, fostering trust and confidence in the institution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or Business Administration preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions counseling, education sales, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding enrollment targets.
- Proficient in CRM tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of the UG education landscape in India, including courses, competitive exams, and student preferences.
