Position OverviewWe seek CAD designers with expertise in creating precise, manufacturing-ready drawings for aerospace, drone/UAV, or automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities for CAD Designers:Precision CAD Modelling and Technical Drawings:

Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks or similar software, focusing on accuracy and manufacturability.Design for Manufacturability:

Ensure all designs can be efficiently manufactured with consistent quality, meeting necessary tolerances and industry standards.Detailed, Replicable Drawings:

Develop comprehensive technical drawings with specific annotations, material specifications, and tolerance requirements for each component, making it easy to replicate designs in manufacturing.Manufacturing Process Support:

Collaborate with the manufacturing team to refine designs based on production needs, ensuring smooth transition from design to physical parts.Prototyping Collaboration:

Support the prototyping phase, adjusting designs as necessary based on test results and manufacturing feedback.Aerospace/Automotive Industry Insight:

For candidates with automotive experience, apply best practices from the automotive sector to enhance design efficiency and manufacturability.

Essential Requirements for CAD Designers:Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.CAD Expertise in Detailed Drawings:

Extensive experience in CAD design, particularly in creating highly detailed, accurate drawings that are ready for manufacturing.Technical Skill in SolidWorks:

Proficiency in SolidWorks or a comparable CAD tool, with strong emphasis on detailed drawings for manufacturing.Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes:

Familiarity with manufacturing standards and an ability to design parts that meet production requirements without compromising functionality.Aerospace/Automotive Industry Knowledge (Preferred):

Previous experience in the automotive industry is valuable, especially regarding manufacturing practices and DFM principles.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:Hands-On Prototyping Experience:

Experience working on physical prototypes and troubleshooting during testing phases.Strong Documentation Skills:

Ability to document design processes, specifications, and testing results with clarity and precision.Adaptability to Fast-Paced Projects:

Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
