About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FileMaker Developer to join our client team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with FileMaker (now Claris), ranging from Version 11 to the latest Version 20, and a proven track record of developing robust and scalable applications for diverse industries. This role involves developing, customizing, and optimizing FileMaker applications for both iPad, iPhone, and Desktop platforms, addressing the unique requirements of internal and global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain FileMaker applications to support internal and client-specific needs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement customized FileMaker applications.

• Manage complex, multi-file FileMaker systems, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.

• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for existing FileMaker systems.

• Implement and manage workflows for various business processes, including inventory management, project scheduling, employee management, and CRM systems.

• Develop and maintain plugins for enhanced functionalities, such as ProMaps, GoZync, and API integrations (e.g., SOAP, Amazon SES).

• Ensure data security and user-level access control across applications, including compatibility with iPads, iPhones, PCs, and Mac systems.

• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

• Stay updated with the latest FileMaker (Claris) technologies and implement best practices in database development and management.

Required Qualifications:

• Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or comp sci or equivalent.

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional FileMaker development experience; expertise with FileMaker Pro (Versions 11–20).

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in building custom FileMaker applications, developing multi-file solutions, and integrating third-party plugins (ProMaps, GoZync, Amazon SES, etc.).

• Platform Proficiency: Strong experience in developing applications for iPad, iPhone, and Desktop platforms.

• Domain Knowledge: Experience with industries such as manufacturing, real estate, restaurants, sports camps, and service centers.

• Customization: Expertise in creating role-specific modules such as CRM systems, ERP solutions, POS systems, and inventory management.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and global clients.

• Tools & Integration: Familiarity with API integrations and custom workflows, ensuring seamless data synchronization and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Claris Studio and the latest Claris updates.

• Knowledge of FileMaker certification programs and advanced development practices.

• Background in designing scalable systems for large-scale applications, such as ERP or CRM solutions.
