Job Title:- R&D Head – Lithium-Ion Battery Pack Design (EV & ESS Applications) Location - Sansarpur Terrace, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh Position Overview :- The R&D Head will be responsible for driving innovation, research, and development in lithium-ion battery technologies for Electric Vehicles (EV) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). This role involves strategic planning, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver advanced, reliable, and scalable battery solutions aligned with the company’s long-term vision. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Leadership :- Define and implement the long-term R&D roadmap for Li-ion battery technologies. Collaborate with the executive management team to align R&D strategies with business objectives. 2. Technical Leadership: - Oversee the end-to-end R&D process — from material selection and cell chemistry to pack integration, BMS development, and thermal management. Solid-state and semi-solid-state technologies Fast-charging capabilities and cycle life improvement Safety systems and advanced thermal management Supervise performance testing, validation, and failure analysis to ensure product reliability and safety. 3. Team & Project Management :- Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary R&D team. Foster collaboration with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product development departments. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource planning for efficient R&D execution. 4. Compliance & Standards :- Ensure all R&D activities comply with applicable standards (AIS, ISO, IEC, UL, etc.) and safety regulations. Lead initiatives related to sustainability, recycling, and second-life applications of batteries. Key Requirements :- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in lithium-ion battery R&D. Proven expertise in battery design, prototyping, and scaling for EV and/or ESS applications. Track record of successful innovation and product commercialization. Skills:- S trong knowledge of cell chemistry, electrochemical modeling, and battery pack integration. Experience with BMS, thermal systems, and standard testing protocols. Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities. Compensation Salary: Negotiable, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
