About Role:

Freespace is looking for an experienced senior software engineer with full-stack skills to join our Workplace Automation team in this exceptional time for Global Real Estate.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with expertise in React JS, Node JS, dealing with databases and optionally Java.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of the Workplace Automation team to shape the solutions we provide clients through our platform to deliver crucial business insights to our clients.


Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using React JS for the front end and Node JS and Java for the back end.
  • Working with product owners and technical program managers to clarify requirements, challenge assumptions to ensure successful executions, and push the client-used applications to their best.
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality.
  • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
  • Designing and developing APIs.
  • Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
  • Ensuring to delivery of timely projects through Scrum.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
  • Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Working with the team of developers, QA engineers, and cross-team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience within the delivery timeline.
  • Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
  • Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Required Skills: React JS, Node JS, JavaScript, MySQL/SQL, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, JQuery, AWS (Lambda, Athena, S3), Git/AWS CodeCommit, Java.
  • 4 to 6 years’ experience as a Full Stack Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Hands-on and well-versed with React and Node.
  • Data processing and manipulation expert.
  • Ability to easily comprehend and write complex & efficient SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Expert in building well-architected solutions using AWS Services (e.g., Lambda, Athena, S3, etc.).
  • Experience in developing front-end analytics dashboards using ChartJS (or equivalent charts).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/AWS CodeCommit
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
