Experience of owning & building/maintaining backend (JSON REST API) in a product based startup in full-time role is highly preferred and we are looking for a hands-on individual contributor instead of a leader/manager (95% coding 5% collaborating/leading)

WizCrew Labs Pvt Ltd is looking for a Intermediate
(2-6 Years Experience)
hands on Django backend engineer. He/She should have worked with Django/DRF backend of at least 2+ custom web portals/apps in a product based startup preferably and enjoys writing maintainable/performant code

You'll be working on Products for the US market and we expect great level of Quality/Finish to your coding including the use of good coding patterns/practices like (SOLID/DRY/YAGNI & so forth)

Responsibilities and Duties

Hard Requirements

  • Intermediate to
    expert level of Django-DRF
    experience
  • Intermediate/Expert level in MVC patterns, SQL Joins, SubQueries, Aggregates etc.
  • Intermediate/Expert in Caching, Performance Optimization, ElasticSearch/Cassandra/NoSQL solutions, REST API dev/design
  • Intermediate skills in administration/management of Linux/Ubuntu, Nginx, AWS Infra, Logging, Auditing, DevOps, Shell Scripting

Bonus Points:

  • Open source contributor
  • Startup experience where you handled scale (TB/PB of data, Big RPS numbers)
  • Intermediate in React with Typescript (Vite)
  • Also knows Python for Infra automation/Data Wrangling/ running Inference on AI models
