Associate – DDS Data & Analytics (Power BI development) About USI USI supports RSM U.S. risk consulting, transaction advisory, technical accounting, financial consulting, technology and management consulting, tax and assurance engagement teams by providing access to highly skilled professionals for repeatable business processes over an extended business day. USI is a member of RSM International, the fifth largest global network of independent accounting, tax and consulting firms. RSM’s Data and Digital Services (DDS) helps clients across various industries by addressing the increasingly complex strategic, operational, compliance, and governance challenges faced by those responsible for managing or overseeing dynamic businesses. Data and Digital Services offerings includes Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Integration and Migration Services; Point Solutions Finance Automation, Corporate Performance Management; Application and Development Integration; and e-commerce.
  Basic Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree and 4+ years of related work experience
  • Proficiency with one or multiple solutions, including Power Bi Development, Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW, Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform
  • Experience using T-SQL scripts (stored procedures, views, functions etc.) to manipulate data and simplify access to data
  • Experience with data modelling (normalized and de-normalized data models), understanding of the appropriate purpose for each
  • Experience with one or multiple reporting tools, such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, etc., for data modelling and creating visualizations
  • Understanding of data lineage, with the ability to track data from source through reporting for accelerated troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external resources at all organizational levels
  • Project management, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Experience dealing with solving complex business challenges
  • Technical and business acumen and ability to speak about technology in the language of business
  • Ability to work in the Hyderabad, India office at least twice a week
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience utilizing common source systems and front-end tools that produce data (i.e. NetSuite, Salesforce, Dynamics)
  • Experience with or expertise in responding to requests for proposal documents (RFP)
  • Experience presenting findings, solutions, and/or deliverables to clients, internally, and additional audiences
  • Professional certifications in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer, SnowPro Core) and/or big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools
Position Responsibilities As an Associate within RSM’s DDS Data & Analytics practice, you will work with various sized clients and receive hands-on client experience, and you will be responsible for providing the highest level of operational support to RSM clients. The candidate must demonstrate willingness to go the extra mile for the team’s success. They will be a problem solver, good communicator, creative thinker, fast learner, be detail-oriented, and interested in learning their clients' business. You will be responsible for working with the Data & Analytics practice in the US to serve clients, by:

  • Develop an understanding of the RSM’s DDS Data & Analytics practice approach, methodology and tools
  • Executing data & analytics solution delivery engagements
  • Discerning, defining, refining, and documenting client requirements
  • Thinking proactively and acting with complete follow-through
  • Building reports, dashboards and scorecards using a variety of tools to meet client requirements and measure client success
  • Collaborating and working effectively with consultants in other regions and practices
  • Providing ongoing support to existing data & analytics clients
  • Building out demonstration scenarios and prototypes for reporting & other data products
