Job Overview:The Electrical Designer provides solutions to problems in the Electrical Design discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and/or scientific procedures.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Prepare key project deliverables, including (but not limited to) the following: Block Diagrams Area Classification Drawings One-line diagrams Typical Installation Drawings Motor control schematics Panel Schedules MCT Schedules Lighting Layout Drawings Cable tray drawings Earthing layouts Building Layouts MCT Layouts Tray support location Plans Cable tray sizing calculations Conduit & cable schedules AG/UG power drawings Interconnection & Wiring drawings Prepare bills of material and perform MTO of electrical itemsWork in 3D modeling tool to perform the following: Model Cable trays Model Electrical Equipment Model Electrical field devices Model Cable tray supports / Supports for field devices Model Penetrations Model Cable trenches Extract Drawings Extract MTO Clear Clashes / TDLSupport Project Development and Coordination, including (but not limited to) the following: Maintain and promote a focus on McDermott’s end-product throughout engineering, fabrication, or construction Report to and coordinate with the electrical engineering project lead and electrical task lead, as applicable Effectively communicate with electrical design lead and project electrical designers and engineers Recognize and manage change with full awareness of project impact, keeping lead designer informed Assume responsibility for deliverables/activities to which are assigned

Essential Qualifications and Education:Diploma in Electrical and Electronics EngineeringExperience using AutoCAD/Microstation/Smartsketch, SP3D/E3D/PDMS is mustExperience with Dialux / Chalmlite for lighting calculation and Roxtec Tool for MCT sizing is preferredMinimum of 3 years of detailed electrical design experienceFamiliar with application of standards, codes, and guidelines, including NEC, & NFPATechnical knowledge of the electrical detailed design/drafting processExperience using MS Office Suite including Excel and Word#LI-AR1
