Senior/Associate Lead DevOps Engineer

Location : Manikonda, Hyderabad

Experience : 7 - 10 years only

Mode of Work: Hybrid only

Shifts: 3 PM - 12 AM IST (UK), Night shift allowance provided, Cab facility provided.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS, Terraform development, and Ansible. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in at least one programming language and possess the leadership qualities necessary to guide our DevOps team toward achieving operational excellence and enhancing our software development and deployment processes.

Mandatory Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.

- Expertise in developing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (i.e., Terraform development experience with coding).

- Extensive experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.

- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Ruby).

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Management :

- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.

- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning and management.

Configuration Management and Automation :

- Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for configuration management and application deployment.

- Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in the deployment process.

CI/CD Pipeline Development :

- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or other relevant technologies to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.

- Implement deployment strategies that ensure zero downtime and efficient rollback mechanisms.

Scripting and Development :

- Write scripts in Bash, Python, or any other relevant programming language to support automation tasks, integrations, and custom solutions.

- Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.

Monitoring and Logging :

- Set up and manage monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.

- Implement logging and alerting mechanisms to quickly identify and resolve issues.

Security and Compliance :

- Ensure infrastructure and processes adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Implement tools and practices for vulnerability management, secret management, and secure configurations.

Team Leadership and Collaboration :

- Led and mentored a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team and across the organization.

- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software products.

Project Management :

- Manage DevOps projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report on key metrics.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps.

- Continuously evaluate and improve existing tools, processes, and practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Experience :

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, which is mandate.

- Demonstrated experience in leading DevOps teams and managing projects.

- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure.

Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

- Leadership qualities with experience in mentoring and guiding team members.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, monitoring and logging tools, and security best - practices.
