Job Title: Backend Engineer

Experience Level: 6–8 Years

Job Location: Bangalore or Chennai (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)

Compensation: Up to ₹24 LPA

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with expertise in designing scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate is highly versatile, with deep knowledge in Java (or ), strong AWS/GCP cloud expertise, and a proven track record of building secure, high-performance, serverless applications. This is a hands-on technical role for a fast-paced, innovative fintech/payment solutions project.

Key Responsibilities


• Architect, design, and develop scalable APIs and backend services.


• Build and maintain cloud-native, serverless architectures using AWS or GCP.


• Lead infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation.


• Optimize backend systems for performance, security, and cost efficiency.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support merchant and partner integration.


• Utilize AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) for development productivity.


• Own the full software lifecycle: design, development, deployment, and monitoring.


• Support event-driven systems, message queues, and high-volume transactions.

Technical Skills Required


• Strong backend development expertise in Java a plus).


• Hands-on experience with microservices and RESTful API design.


• Database expertise: SQL & NoSQL (design, optimization, and scaling).


• Advanced experience with AWS/GCP, serverless solutions (Lambda/Cloud Functions).


• Containerization and orchestration with Docker & Kubernetes.


• Infrastructure automation: Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions.


• Strong understanding of security best practices and cloud monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills


• 5+ years of backend engineering with cloud-native, scalable systems.


• Experience in fintech/payments or high-transaction platforms.


• Proven record of serverless application design and scaling.


• Hands-on with DevOps practices and system design architecture.


• Rapid learner with strong problem-solving and systems thinking mindset.
