SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and motivated Lead Data Analyst to join our growing team. As a key member of the data analytics team, you will play a crucial role in exploring our data and analyzing and informing our stakeholders. This role is critical to devise our roadmap and to identify opportunities to grow our business, whether by improving retention, customer experience, or sales processes. You will partner with the Data Engineer to keep our data models in pace with our ever-evolving business and to develop solutions to new data challenges. You will also apply statistical and machine learning techniques to advance our business understanding and decision-making. This role has great exposure within the finance organization (including the CFO) and across operating departments.

Data Stack : Fivetran, Airbyte, dbt, BigQuery, Cube, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a primary driver for end-to-end data analytics programs, including upstream data generation advisory, ELT, dbt transformations, analytics, and democratization via tooling. This end-to-end experience will be in partnership with data engineers and key business stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and objectives. Identify key moments in the customer journey to mitigate churn and drive retention. Support the development of analytics roadmaps through exploratory analyses and experiment collaboration. Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business goals. Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques for data analysis, encompassing methodologies such as ARIMA, time series analysis, logistic regression, survival analysis, Llama models, k-means clustering, and random forests. Support data collection, including QA and upstream data generation improvement insights. Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular monitoring and maintenance. Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis, leveraging tools like dbt to build and document data transformations. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analytics, with a focus on modern data stack advancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience in an analytical role, with Bachelor’s degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or a related field. Solid SQL foundation, including CTEs, window functions, and datetime handling.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Experience applying statistical techniques to quantify the relationships between metrics and to inform hypothesis testing design. Stellar organizational and communication skills. Intellectual curiosity and analytical follow-through (you always ask “why?” and think about how you could answer that question). Superior analytical, problem-structuring, and visualization skills - you can get to the heart of a problem, identify what you need to answer the question, and present it in a manner that will inform decision-making. Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects. Familiarity with dbt and relational databases. Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Data Bricks). Experience crafting dashboards and self-service capabilities for stakeholders through BI reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with Python and/or R for analytics/statistics purposes. Knowledge of financial and/or operational data analysis and reporting. Experience in SaaS or payment processing companies.
