About Role
Head – Legal and Compliance
Reporting : CFO
Location : Bangalore
Key Responsibilities :
Legal Compliance:
 Ensure the company's operations and business practices comply with all relevant
laws and regulations.
 Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
 Contract Management:
Contract Management
 Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to
protect the company's interests.
 Manage contract renewals and amendments.
Risk Management:
 Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
 Provide legal advice to the management team on various matters, including
intellectual property, labor laws, and regulatory issues.
Litigation Management:
 Manage and oversee any litigation or dispute resolution processes involving the
company.
 Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
Corporate Governance:
 Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and support the Board
of Directors in their legal obligations.
 Maintain corporate records and filings.
Legal Research:
 Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
 Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions.
Training and Education:
Provide legal training and education to employees on relevant legal topics and company
policies.
Qualifications:
 A degree in law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
 4-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the FMCG or related
industry.
 Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, intellectual property law, and
regulatory compliance.
 Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
 Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
 High ethical standards and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
 Experience in the Ayurvedic or FMCG sector.
 Familiarity with legal issues related to natural and herbal products.
 Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
