Oracle WMS Consultant

Job Summary:

The successful applicant will serve as the liaison between business users and IT departments while supporting IT projects as well as daily monitoring and issue resolution. This candidate will also be responsible for providing Oracle solutions for business requirements related to enhancements and small projects. This Role involves in understanding the client’s business process, requirements and mapping to the Oracle EBS system as best as possible. If Issues/gaps are identified between the requirements and Oracle EBS system, the functional consultant with the help of Solution architect should suggest solutions.

Essential Job Duties:

• The candidate would be responsible for Handling tickets and application support to the end-users. When an issue is received, it needs to be analyzed and resolved.
• In case, if the issue requires the support of development, then transfer the issue to development team with the inputs. Monitor and help development team to complete the task.
• In case, if the issue requires support from Oracle, then raise SR and co-ordinate with oracle support team till closure
• Preparing MD050/MD060 documents for any customizations, Preparing Test Cases, Test Data & testing.
• Coordination with Leads/Managers/Key users and other teams for issue resolutions and getting sign-off for release to be moved to production
• Training the end users and preparing end user training material.
• Coordination with other modules consultants/Technical Consultants/DBAs/Developers.
• Creation of process documents & its updating if required.
• Provide daily production support including monitoring and issue resolution, incident management, problem management, service request management.
• Provide 24 x 5 on-call assistance for support of production business system issues. Few occurrences of weekend support as well.
• Provide month end, Quarter End and year-end assistance as per business requirement.
• Should become a subject matter expert for system management.
• Assume responsibility for tasks and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
• Identifies opportunity for improving processes through system automation and alerts.
• Reviews requirements and recommends solutions.
• Creates and maintains documentation of assigned systems and process flow.
• Responsible for meeting Service Level Agreements part of Incident and Problem Management.
• Analyze and design long term solutions for the business and suggest for the service improvements.
• Be a Team-player and also to have the ability to work independently.
• Should primarily focus on clearing on Logistics Issues Related to Picking, Shipping, Cycle counting, Receiving & etc.
• Should be Responsible for clearing stuck transactions related to Shipping/Receiving for Month/Quarter/Year Ends.
• Become SME on Logistics Track and Share Knowledge Across the team members

For Enhancements to Business systems:

• Responsible for analysis, design and implementation of new or enhanced business systems following IT standards.
• Responsible for development of business and IT requirement list including definitions and system flows.
• Work with the technical analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
• Responsible for implementation including testing, readiness assessment, training, hardware capacity evaluation and performance evaluation.
• Responsible for training other IT and Business team members about system changes

Must Have Skills -

• Overall, 6 to 8 years of experience in Oracle Apps.
• Experienced Oracle Apps Oracle R12 WMS Consultant having excellent hands-on experience on Oracle E-Business Suite WMS, MSCA and Inventory modules
• Must have worked in at least 1 full implementation cycle on Oracle Apps.
• Can design business process and analyze the functional requirements and provide the right solution applying industry best practices
• Should Coordinate with Warehouse Team and help to Facilitate fast closure.
• Conduct workshops for business owners and conduct application configurations and documentation throughout the implementation life cycle
• Expert level knowledge across the following areas on Oracle WMS Inbound Logistics, Inventory Control, Task Management, Outbound Logistics, MSCA.
• Expert level knowledge of the interaction between WMS applications with Oracle eBS Financials, Procurement, Manufacturing, ASCP, Logistics Applications.
• Can understand WMS and MSCA technical architecture and communicate with technical associates for development
• Good understanding of warehouse, barcoding and shop floor transactions
• Good understanding and experience of integrating hand-held RF scanners and frequency devices with Oracle E-Business Suite modules
• Basic Understanding of PL/ SQL and customization of MSCA screens and WMS rules
