Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Landscape Architect with expertise in Indian government projects to join our team. As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will lead the design and management of landscape architecture projects for various government clients in India. You will be responsible for developing innovative and sustainable landscape designs that enhance public spaces, promote environmental stewardship, and contribute to community well-being.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization, planning, and design development of landscape architecture projects for government clients in India, including Eco parks, zoo, public plazas, urban streetscapes, and recreational areas.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to understand project requirements, goals, and constraints.
  • Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Develop comprehensive landscape design proposals, master plans, and construction documents that integrate ecological principles, cultural considerations, and user needs.
  • Prepare and present design proposals, master plans, and construction documentation to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Utilize digital tools and software such as AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to create detailed site plans, renderings, and presentations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on landscape architecture principles, sustainable design practices, and construction techniques to project teams and junior staff members.
  • Prepare project budgets, schedules, and procurement documents in coordination with project managers and clients.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Manage project execution, including contractor selection, bid evaluation, and construction administration to ensure quality control and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Liaise with government officials, regulatory agencies, and community groups to facilitate project approvals, permits, and public consultations.
  • Monitor project progress, evaluate design performance, and address client feedback and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and policies related to landscape architecture, urban planning, and government initiatives in India.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in landscape architecture and urban design.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in landscape architecture , with a focus on designing and managing government projects in India.
  • Professional licensure or certification as a Landscape Architect preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex landscape architecture projects from concept to completion, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian landscape architecture standards, regulations, and government procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for landscape design, including AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing a diverse range of landscape architecture projects, particularly those implemented for government clients or public agencies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
