Education Criteria:

• Bachelors / master’s degree in engineering / IT or BCA / MCA

• Relevant certification courses from reputed organization.


Experience Level: • 8 to 10 Years of full-time software development experience (Should have minimum 2 to 3 years' experience into Performance Engineer role)


Technical Skills (Essential):

• Performance tuning of applications

Certifying applications of non-functional guarantees

• Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, App Dynamics and NMON

• Experience with Automation Tools like Selenium, SOAP UI, Postman, JMeter and Python.

• Good experience with working with databases / applications that interact with databases

• Good understanding of queues / kafka / nosql database / camel / REST


Technical Skills (Desirable):

• Experience with cloud deployed application

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Experience with payments

• Experience with Chaos-Monkey/Ansible.

• Exposure on Security testing tools like Burp Suite or ZAP

• Working experience with Linux Operating Systems and Databases (Oracle, MSSQL, Cassandra, Mongo or MySQL).

• Experience with Tomcat/Liberty/Wild Fly/IBM WebSphere/Oracle WebLogic application servers.


Roles & Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of non-functional guarantees of the product like resiliency, latency, throughput, stability and security

• Estimate the testing Size, Effort, Cost & Schedule

• Identify performance test environment requirements and works with the infrastructure, network operations, environment, and release teams to setup the environment for effective SLA measurements.

• Work with the different project stakeholders to help define and document performance SLAs, requirements and expectations around critical factors such as response time, throughput, transactions/second, concurrent users, CPU utilization, memory, disk, network utilization, thread counts, connection pooling, hit ratios.

• Learns the underlying architecture of the product and create test scripts and executes performance and load testing of the applications.

• Designs and executes daily load tests large system level performance tests.

• Collects, analyzes and reports performance testing results to the project, program and business stakeholders.

• Analysis of systems to identify potential bottlenecks and risks that may cause systems to not meet nonfunctional requirements.

• Reviews the performance test scripts created or modified by peers to ensure compliances with standards.

• Training and upskilling team members
