Company Description: Apple Edibles and Logistics Pvt Ltd. is in the process of food processing & manufacturing. It has setup its new factory at Khopoli near Mumbai. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Head to join our procurement team in the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring goods & services that meet the Company's needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Vendor Sourcing and Selection - Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers. Evaluate supplier capabilities, including financial stability, production capacity, and quality control measures. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual benefits. Purchasing Management - Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Track orders and manage deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods. Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Budget and Cost Control - Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking spending and analyzing variances. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery. Compliance and Documentation - Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience - At least 10 years of experience in procurement within the FMCG sector. Education - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Skills - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in English (verbal and written). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with MS Excel for data analysis and record-keeping.
