Job Overview
As a Data Scientist / ML Engineer you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and building state-of-the-art machine learning models and maintenance of scalable modelling pipelines. You will work closely with a team of senior data scientists and engineers to implement algorithms, provide data-driven insights, and contribute to the development of our ML and AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Learning
Translating a business requirement into a machine learning problem
Developing and deploying machine learning models.
Participate in the entire lifecycle of predictive model development including data exploration, feature engineering, model building, performance evaluation, and deployment.
Tuning and optimizing machine learning algorithms.
Collaborate with team members to integrate machine learning models into existing data pipelines and workflows.
Data Engineering
Building and maintaining robust, scalable modelling pipelines.
Cleaning, aggregating, and preprocessing data from diverse sources.
Collaborate on optimizing data retrieval and data storage processes.
Collaborate with the team on the development and maintenance of large scale database systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 4 years of experience or Master's degree with 2 years of experience in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Strong command over programming languages, especially Python.
Experience in one of the ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a must.
Knowledge of SQL and experience with large scale databases (e.g., BigTable, Spark, Hive).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
This role is a full-time position and is for people living in Bengaluru, India. This role involves working full time with our team in a hybrid setting. The hours of work would overlap for a few hours with US time zones depending on requirements.
