Deputy Manager – Policy Management

Gurgaon,Haryana

DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include?

•Managing a team of colleagues or assistant Managers, motivating and developing them, keeping the talent in the company.

•Providing guidance and support to Assistant Managers. Create plans to work on retaining key talents and overall working on talent management. Take steps to keep employees motivated by leveraging existing initiatives, create a healthy competition and at the same time work on managing growth opportunities through succession planning.

•Overseeing teams’ workload, capacity and performance metrics. General reporting capabilities and ensure adherence to all KPI on service delivery and find constructive solutions for delivery of better service standards to Internal and External Customers

•Acting as cross-functional liaison to ensure superior level of collaboration and adhering to the Target Operating Model / Best Practice as defined

•Assisting and advising AMs on problem-solving in order to balance and manage client/broker expectations with internal service standards, managing escalated items if required.

•Building effective relations with MO/UW managers. Keep onshore appraised of operational risks (if any)and building strong working relationship.

•Organizing team in an effective manner and ensuring succession planning. Conducting 1:1s and regular team meetings for respective span and concluding with final performance discussion. Ensuring they are happening for indirect reports as well.

•Actively working on hiring requirements for the team. Participating in interviews as and when required.

•Initiating and leading projects within the domain. Participating in Ins Ops projects along with overseeing CI target completion progress.

•Planning, conducting and executing transitions in collaboration with stakeholders, managers, team and all responsible parties. In addition, ensure complete documentation and smooth transition of work to ESS teams.

Required Skills and Abilities:

•Candidate with couple of years of managerial experience within AXA XL (other candidates to be considered in exceptional cases)

•Insurance-related knowledgecombined with understanding of policy management tools

•Ability to manage the teams with zero supervision

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Good understanding of policy management workflow, tools and procedures

•Excellent stakeholder management, prioritisation and planning skills

Desired Skills and Abilities:

·Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills

·Analytical mindset, structured work approach and high levels of attention to detail

·Outstanding IT skills (MS Excel & MS Access)
