About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated
Patient Coordinator
with 2+ years of experience in
medical tourism and patient travel coordination
. In this role, you will guide and support both international and domestic patients navigating complex medical journeys. Your expertise in translating clinical information into actionable advice, managing medical travel logistics, and coordinating care will help patients access the right treatments across borders with confidence and ease.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured patient consultations (in-person/telephonic) to explain diagnoses, treatment options, medications, procedures, and necessary lifestyle changes in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Assist patients in planning medical travel, including booking flights, arranging accommodations, and coordinating medical appointments at hospitals or clinics both within India and internationally.
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with medical tourism regulations, visa requirements, and country-specific healthcare policies.
- Interpret clinical documents such as prescriptions, lab reports, imaging results, and discharge summaries to provide clear guidance to patients and their families.
- Coordinate care by working closely with physicians, nurses, diagnostics, pharmacy, insurance/TPA teams, and other stakeholders across geographies.
- Educate patients and caregivers on post-treatment care, warning signs (red-flag symptoms), and preventive measures, with special attention to the challenges of international medical travel.
- Maintain meticulous and compliant records of every patient interaction in EMR/CRM systems, with strict adherence to data privacy and protection norms.
- Drive key performance outcomes such as patient adherence, reduced no-show rates, timely treatment initiation, and high patient satisfaction (NPS/C-SAT).
Must-have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a clinical or life-science discipline (e.g., BSc Nursing, BPT/Physiotherapy, BPharm, BSc/MSc Life Sciences, BHMS/BAMS, or equivalent).
- Minimum
2 years of experience in medical travel or medical tourism industry
, coordinating and advising patients seeking treatment across regions or abroad. - 3+ years of experience in patient counseling, care coordination, disease management, hospital OPD/TPA/tele-health, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of clinical anatomy, physiology, and disease pathways, with the ability to simplify complex medical information for patients.
- Proficient in EMR/EHR/CRM tools and MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi, with a compassionate, patient-first mindset.
