Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Business Problem Solving:

  • Design and develop insightful metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to address key business challenges and inform strategic decisions.
  • Conduct deep data analysis to extract actionable insights and recommendations that drive business growth and optimization.
  • Utilize statistical methodology and machine learning techniques to uncover valuable patterns and trends in our data, providing critical guidance for business strategy.

2. Hypothesis Testing & Experimentation:

  • Plan and execute A/B testing experiments to evaluate the impact of different strategies and hypotheses on key business metrics.
  • Formulate compelling hypotheses based on data-driven insights and conduct rigorous experimentation to validate assumptions and drive continuous optimization.
  • Interpret experimental results and iterate on strategies based on findings, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

3. Foundational Data Engineering: Building Views/tables and Performing ETL

  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to create and maintain views and data pipelines that support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Develop and optimize basic ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for analysis.
  • Leverage data engineering principles to enhance data quality and integrity, enabling seamless integration of data sources and efficient data processing workflows.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in data analytics and science, demonstrating proficiency in statistical models, forecasting methods, and machine learning techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field, emphasizing analytical prowess and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Expertise in SQL and Excel for comprehensive data analysis, complemented by proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with clickstream data analysis tools such as Amplitude or Mixpanel, showcasing a knack for extracting valuable insights from complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in statistics, Python, and/or R programming languages, enabling advanced data manipulation and modeling tasks.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to translate complex analytics into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels of the organization."
