Job Summary

The Buyer for Jewelry and Home Decor will be responsible for selecting, purchasing, and managing inventory for the brand's product lines. This role requires a keen eye for trends, strong negotiation skills, and an in-depth understanding of the market to ensure the right products are sourced at the best prices. The Buyer will work closely with suppliers, design teams, and the sales department to align purchasing decisions with the brand’s strategy and customer demands.



Key Responsibilities
  • Product Selection : Identify and select a wide range of jewelry and home decor products that align with the brand's aesthetic and customer preferences.
  • Supplier Management : Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Market Research : Conduct thorough market research to stay informed on current trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels to ensure a balanced stock, avoiding both overstock and stockouts. Utilize inventory management systems effectively.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure all products meet the brand’s quality standards by coordinating with the quality control team.
  • Cost Management : Develop and manage budgets for product purchasing, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.
  • Sales Collaboration : Work closely with the sales team to understand customer feedback and sales trends, adjusting purchasing decisions accordingly.
  • Reporting : Prepare regular reports on product performance, market trends, and purchasing activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Compliance : Ensure all products comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in buying, preferably in the jewelry or home decor sectors.
  • Skills :
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and predict market trends.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
