Dew Software, a global leader in the digital transformation industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Datadog Sr Dev / Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Datadog Sr Dev / Tech Lead at Dew Software, you will play a key role in leading and managing a team of software engineers to deliver innovative and high-quality software solutions using the Datadog platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions leveraging Datadog's monitoring and analytics capabilities. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the team to ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support for projects involving the Datadog platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions leveraging Datadog's monitoring and analytics capabilities.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of software solutions using Datadog, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project timelines.
  • Design and implement data collection, monitoring, and alerting strategies using Datadog.
  • Perform code reviews, provide feedback, and enforce code quality and standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and roadblocks related to Datadog implementation, ensuring timely resolution and project success.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders and clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns related to Datadog implementation.
  • Contribute to the hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members on Datadog platform.

Requirements

  • Hands-On Application performance monitoring experience with Datadog, BigFix, Terraform.
  • Extensive Experience in building indexes and dashboards using Datadog
  • Hands-on experience in log ingestions and log monitoring using Datadog
  • Experience in migrating dashboards from any APM tools (App dynamics / Dynatrace etc..) to Datadog
  • Experience with complex custom log monitoring using Datadog

Benefits

Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 2. At least 9+ years of practical experience in backend development, with a strong command of one or more programming languages like Python, Go or JAVA. 3. Proven experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems for high-traffic applications. 4. Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructures (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). 5. Solid understanding of database systems and data modeling, as well as proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases. 6. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation, and understanding of microservices architecture. 7. Knowledge of security best practices and data protection measures for backend systems. 8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. 9. Excellent team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
