Automotive Electrician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automobile AC & Electrical Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain air conditioning and electrical systems in vehicles. The role involves ensuring optimal functioning of AC systems, wiring, electrical circuits, and electronic components, delivering high-quality service, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair faults in automobile air conditioning systems, wiring, and electrical circuits.
• Inspect, service, and maintain vehicle AC systems (compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant levels, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic components (lighting systems, alternators, starters, batteries, fuses, sensors, etc.).
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve vehicle reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations while handling refrigerants and electrical components.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems quickly and accurately.
• Maintain service records, work reports, and update job cards as per company standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide accurate estimates for time, labor, and parts required for repairs.
• Stay updated with latest automobile AC and electrical technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI/Diploma in Automobile/Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience as an AC & Electrical Technician in the automobile industry.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle AC systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to use diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and AC service tools.
• Understanding of refrigerants, AC gas charging, and safety protocols.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in workshop environments.

Work Environment:

• Workshop / Service center environment.
• May involve long hours and weekend shifts depending on workload.
• Requires adherence to safety measures and use of PPE.
