Our platform powers end-to-end sourcing, eAuctions, negotiations, supplier discovery, and compliance management with speed, accuracy, and complete transparency.With a supplier ecosystem of 20 lakh+ verified vendors across industries, we help buyers make faster, data-driven decisions and unlock significant value.We are looking for an experienced Category Manager who understands procurement inside out and can own, expand, and strengthen category-specific supplier networks across the platform.Role Overview The Category Manager will be responsible for building and managing procurement categories across the ProcUrPal platform, ensuring depth, quality, and reliability of suppliers. The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep market understanding, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Supplier Management.Key Responsibilities Category Strategy & Development Build, refine, and execute category strategies across key procurement areas (IT, MRO, CAPEX, OPEX, Professional Services, Facilities, Infra, Logistics, etc.).Identify gaps, prioritize categories, and plan supplier onboarding to meet customer demands.Establish pricing benchmarks, category taxonomies, and sourcing templates.Supplier Ecosystem Management (20 Lakh+ Vendors) Lead category-wise supplier acquisition, evaluation, and qualification.Maintain supplier data accuracy and compliance across the platform.Develop strong supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and service delivery.Drive supplier engagement for participation in RFQs, eAuctions, and AI-driven negotiations.Data, Insights & Benchmarking Analyse procurement trends, price movements, supplier performance, and savings opportunities.Own category analytics dashboards and produce insights for enterprise buyers.Continuously benchmark suppliers across cost, delivery, risk, and ESG parameters.Collaboration & Enablement Work closely with Product Teams to enhance category workflows and supplier discovery modules.Coordinate with Sales & Customer Success to support enterprise deployments with category expertise.Train internal teams and customers on category best practices and sourcing strategies.Governance, Compliance & Quality Ensure suppliers meet ProcUrPal’s quality, documentation, and compliance standards.Implement category-specific risk management frameworks.Monitor adherence to procurement guidelines, governance processes, and contracts.Required Skills & Experience 2–10 years of procurement/category management experience across large enterprises or consultancies.Strong understanding of Indian procurement ecosystems, market intelligence, and supplier landscapes.Experience managing categories with large, diverse vendor bases.Excellent negotiation, analytical, and commercial evaluation skills.Hands-on experience with eProcurement tools, eAuctions, or sourcing platforms is an advantage.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment.Why Join ProcUrPal?
