Job Description:

Networking Services Development Team

OCI Virtual Networking, as a part of OCI Core Services is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate and enable high scale broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud. All the other services and applications on cloud consume these core services. OCI Networking Development, India is a newly established team who will develop these state of art, distributed and highly available virtual networking services.

The service teams being established in India include:

Virtual Cloud Network - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) is a customizable and private network on the OCI cloud. As with an on-premise network, customers have complete control. This includes assigning your own private IP address space, creating subnets, route tables, and configuring stateful firewalls. A single tenant can have multiple VCNs, thereby providing grouping and isolation of related resources. VCN is a foundational cloud service.

As a senior developer you will contribute to the development and automation in a global agile team which is responsible for building components of one of these distributed services using innovative designs in a C,C++,golang, Java based development environment.

You should have very good understanding of network protocols L2,L3, hands-on experience of developing protocol stacks. Preferably worked on virtualization and distributed cloud environment.

You should be comfortable at building complex distributed systems that interact with end users at one end and network infrastructure at the other.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Hardware Engineering or related field- 4 to 8 years of experience in applications development- Expert skills with "C/C++", Networking (MANDATORY)- Experience with desktop and server operating systems and concurrent programming- Experience in developing networking services layers, consuming services/APIs from other layers and provide services/APIs to other services.- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills- Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.- Mentoring junior team members- Drive projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience on building large scalable distributed services is a plus- Knowledge in protocol implementation in a distributed environment is a plus
