Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Officer to join our molecular diagnostics manufacturing team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have experience in the biopharma or molecular diagnostics field and a strong commitment to ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine quality control tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Perform molecular diagnostic assays and techniques to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Document and report test results, deviations, and non-conformances accurately and promptly.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, protocols, and standards.
Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality assurance teams to address quality issues and improve product quality.
Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze trends in quality control data to identify areas for improvement.
Provide training and guidance to junior QC staff and new employees.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
1-5 years of experience in quality control within the molecular diagnostics or biopharma industry.
Strong understanding of molecular diagnostic techniques, assays, and instrumentation.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and documenting results.
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
