Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant with over 5 years of proven experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP MM solutions. The consultant will be responsible for managing procurement, inventory, and material management processes while ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules. The role requires a mix of technical expertise and functional understanding to support business operations and deliver optimized solutions.

As an SAP MM Consultant, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, business users, and stakeholders to design and deliver scalable solutions that align with organizational needs and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation & Configuration:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation and support of SAP MM module including procurement, inventory management, vendor evaluation, and invoice verification.

  • Configure Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, Release Strategy, and Pricing Procedures.

  • Integration & Collaboration:

  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP MM with FI/CO, SD, PP, and WM modules.

  • Collaborate with finance, logistics, and procurement teams to support business operations.

  • Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide day-to-day support for SAP MM processes including issue resolution, debugging, and system improvements.

  • Troubleshoot errors and ensure minimal disruption to business functions.

  • Process Optimization:

  • Identify areas for improvement within the procurement and material management cycle.

  • Propose and implement best practices and automation opportunities.

  • Documentation & Training:

  • Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and user manuals.

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users to enable smooth adoption of SAP MM processes.

  • Project Participation:

  • Participate in SAP rollout, upgrades, and migration projects.

  • Assist in data migration and cutover activities ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Key Skills & Expertise
  • Strong expertise in SAP MM module configuration (procurement, inventory, logistics, material valuation, and vendor management).
  • Solid understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Experience with integration points between MM and other SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, WM, and PP.
  • Good knowledge of SAP MM master data management (Material Master, Vendor Master, Info Records, Source List, and Quota Arrangement).
  • Hands-on experience in release strategies, pricing procedures, and account determination.
  • Ability to design functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
  • Proficiency in issue resolution, incident management, and change requests in SAP MM.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM implementation and support.
  • Experience in at least one full life cycle SAP implementation project.
  • Exposure to S/4HANA MM will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of GST, tax configurations, and country-specific localizations is preferred.
